She is in charge of all the clinical officers in JOOTRH, Kisumu County.
With twenty four years of experience as a clinical officer and eleven years of experience in managing survivors of SGBV. She coordinates clinical services in the outpatient department and supervises all the clinical officers in the hospital. She manages the GBVRC by supporting the health care professionals to ensure proper diagnosis, treatment and care of all the sexual and gender based violence (SGBV) survivors. She also ensures that all the relevant documents are filled and data is analyzed for better planning and decision making.
She is a member of the Facility Health Management Team which plans and coordinates all functions in the facility. She is involved in training and mentorship of healthcare workers in the facility and the entire county to strengthen management of SGBV survivors.
Her experience in management of survivors of SGBV as an integrated program led to her advocating for a GBVRC which was launched in 2013. This has greatly improved the services.
She is a mentor in treatment and care of people living with HIV/AIDS in the facility and a master trainer of trainees on pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) in the county.
She holds a diploma in clinical medicine from Kenya Medical Training Centre (KMTC); a certificate in Rape Trauma Counselling from LVCT Health, Certificate in Senior Management from Kenya School of Government and a certificate in Leadership Development Programme from Management Sciences for Health (MSH)
